The Tram

The Tram is an 0-4-0 design built by engineer Thomas William Worsdell. Known as the ‘Y6’ class, the tram was designed to run on standard gauge track where it saw most of its working days on the Wisbech to Upwell tramway, in operation from 1883 to 1966. One tram was loaned to the U. S Army Corps, Burton-On-Trent in November 1942.

Our Tram is roughly an 8th scale from the real thing. No 7 1/4 plans were available online, but 4mm scale plans were upscaled to 7 1/4 gauge. The Tram is still under construction but has seen much progress over the past year.
